If you’re familiar with our removal company, you may have noticed that we display our Move Assured membership with pride. If you have received a home survey or removal quote, you’ll may have noticed that their logo is printed on our vans and documents. This is because we want people to know that we are members. However, unless you are a removal industry expert, you may not know much about who Move Assured are or what they do. Therefore, have put this article together to explain things in more detail for you.

Who are Move Assured?

Move Assured are an independent organisation who check and vet removal companies across the UK. Once accredited, the organisation continues to provide further support to their members to ensure they consistently meet industry standards. Their objective is to help members of the public who are looking for a removal company to pick a firm they can trust.

What is their Code of Conduct?

Key to a successful application, as well as on-going membership, is compliance to the organisation’s Code of Conduct. The code is ensures that Move Assured’s members have:

  • Full insurance.
  • Suitable vehicles for the job. All vehicles must also be maintained in compliance with the law.
  • Drivers must have a valid licence and insurance.
  • Pricing which reflects service and professionalism.
  • Maintained communication with with their customers.
  • Properly trained staff.
  • Suitable materials and equipment.
  • A complaint procedure. Furthermore, all feedback must be followed up in a timely manner.
  • Marketing material which is a true reflection of the company’s service.

What does this mean to you?

Our aim is to demonstrate to our customers that we are a trustworthy removal company. What’s more, we are always open and honest about how we operate as a business. This includes how we comply to Move Assured’s Code of Conduct. However, our on-going Move Assured membership is a quick and easy verification for our home removal customers. Having an independent body complete their own checks shows that we do things how we say we do. Whilst this may sound obvious, it installs an extra level of confidence in us.
