DISMANTLE & REASSEMBLE SERVICES

A big part of a move that everyone dreads is the question, "How are we going to move that?" With our furniture dismantling and reassembling services, you don't have to worry about anything. Our team will take apart and put back together your furniture on the day of the move, so you can live as normal up until D-Day.

FURNITURE DISMANTLE AND REASSEMBLE SERVICE

When booking our removal services, most of our customers opt for our furniture dismantle and reassemble service. Feedback suggests that this is the option which saves them the most time and hassle. In most cases, our expert removal team will dismantle furniture on the morning of the move itself. This means you and your family can live ‘as normal’ right up until moving day.

If you select this option, one member of our team will be allocated to look after the dismantle of items. This means that they will know how to put it back together as efficiently as possible at the new property. They may ask to take photos of the item either before or during the dismantle process, particularly if there are any tricky components. They will then label all sides and put any small parts (such as bolts or screws) into a bag for safe keeping.

As standard, all mattresses will be put in protective covers and all clothes will be put in wardrobe boxes for transportation. If your furniture is made of glass or has intricate details, the team will use specialist materials (such as export wrap) to properly protect each dismantled piece.

THINGS TO BEAR IN MIND

We often get asked if everything needs to be taken apart. Generally the answer to this is yes. This is because we have to consider factors such as low ceilings, narrow hallways and difficult access points in and out of the property. You will likely know what will go out in one piece at your current property. But what about your new home? It’s also easier to have things taken apart prior to loading the van, rather than having to dismantle them on your new doorstep. This particularly true when moving in bad weather conditions, as we often do in the UK!
